RF Tapered Transition for In-Vacuum Undulators

Model No. TPR-200

ADC has developed a tapered transition from the liner foil of an in-vacuum undulator (IVU) to

the beam pipe of a synchrotron storage ring which provides a continuous conduction path for

the image current induced by the passing electron bunches. This RF tapered transition is well

suited to synchrotron storage rings in the 1 ~ 3 GeV range with very small emittances.
